Wimbledon 2024: All eyes on Djokovic

• Target of 25th Grand Slam title

• Wimbledon tournament starts today

Serbian legend Novak Djokovic will once again try to set the record for the player who has won the most Grand Slam singles titles in tennis history. Djokovic, who has already won 24 Grand Slam singles titles in his career, equaled the record of Australian player Margaret Court (24 Grand Slam titles). Djokovic will enter the ring as a strong contender in Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam tournament of the season starting today.

Djokovic, who recently recovered from a knee injury, will face tough competition from current world number one Yannick Sinner (Italy) and defending champion Alcaraz (Spain). Djokovic, who won the Wimbledon title seven times, was runner-up twice. This time in the first round, Djokovic will face qualifier world number 123 Vit Kopriva (Czech Republic).  On the other hand, Indian number one and world number 72 Sumit Nagal will play against Kecmanovic (Serbia) in the first round on Monday.
